Safety Tips & Information

To ensure you get the best results from your wax melts whilst maintaining safety at all times please follow these simple instructions.

What are wax melts?

Wax melts are in essence a wickless candle. A scented piece of wax that you melt in a wax melting device (electric or with a tealight) that once melted releases a far stronger and consistent fragrance than a candle due to the wax melt being able to hold a much higher percentage of fragrance oil. This is because you are melting at a higher and more consistent temperature and you are vaporising the scent.

How to use

Break off a piece or two depending on the size of your burner and how strong you like your scent, place in either your tea light or electric burner.

Tealight: Place an unscented tealight candle inside your burner and light. Your wax will start to heat and melt slowly filling your home with amazing aromas. Please only use up to a 4 hour tealight, as any longer will cause the burner to become too hot and can shatter. Please read your burner's enclosed safety information and follow the instructions for safe use.

Electric: Not all electric burners are suitable for natural soy wax as some style burners do not generate enough heat for the melting point of the natural wax. Often you may find some electric "Warmers" are to be used with paraffin melts these will not fully melt the soy wax and therefore the scent throw will suffer massively. If you are unsure please send us an email with your burner type and we will happily assist you.

The number one rule is to never leave a in-use burner unattended.

The intensity of fragrance will depend on your room size, temperature of the room and amount of wax used. For best results, always close your windows in the room you are burning the wax. Once the wax is no longer giving off scent it is time to change your wax melt.

How to remove and change your wax melts safely

Once piece of a wax melt should last around 10 hours. Wait until the wax cools and then gently place pressure on one end of the wax until it pops out. You could also use cotton balls/pads to soak up melted/molton wax and then dispose accordingly.

Our preferred way is to simply start heating your wax for a minute or so, this will begin to soften the underside of wax melt causing it to separate from the burners dish, place a little pressure on the side and you will find the wax melt will simply pop out.

Do not use wipes and/or cleaning chemicals/products to clean the burner. Do not use metal or sharp objects to clean out wax as this may crack or damage the burner or cause injury.

Please check packaging for allergen advise. Keep away from children.
